In the state of California, every dog that is over the age of 4 months must be vaccinated against rabies and have a current license. If you've lost your pet, please visit the Humane Society of Yuma in-person as soon as possible. Each month, hundreds of lost dogs & cats find temporary, safe shelter with us. Animals which have completed their "Stray Hold" time and have been spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated are considered "ready-to-go." Any animal in a "ready-to-go" status can go home with you today. Please give desperate animals the second chance they deserve. We give children who love animals a chance to spend time with them while improving their reading skills. We instantly fell in love with River Song when we met her. She was a little nervous to be leaving her Animal Care and Veterinary Staff friends at IVHS, but she has adjusted so well! Our two young boys love to play with and love on her, they've already become best friends.
